I'm gonna write some poetry

I have been inspired to write some poetry. I have no clue what style is correct I know nothing about poetry. However, a young 18 year old women that attended a support group meeting stated she writes poetry to express her feelings. I thought that is amazing and a wonderful idea.

DON'T JUDGE ME

"Since WHEN did GOD step down off his THRONE and put YOU in charge"

"SINCE when did GOD delegate the RESPONSIBILITY of JUDGEMENT to you"

Domestic Violence

Below at the bottom of this page is a list of domestic violence links for the different states. As time goes on I hope to include all the states. I hope that this site will lend some insight to my personal experiences along with the information that I am supplying.

As far as my personal experiences go, I hope that my story will help someone out there who is or who has experieneced domestic violence. I hope to encourage people to ask for help when needed and to reach out their hands to others when they are needed. I want to educate people about those who assault and those who are assaulted. What was safe for me might not be safe for the next person.

What I want to stress to people is that you have to take responsiblilty for yourself and your children if you have any. You must take responsibility for yourself and how you respond to the violence. Not at the moment it happens, but what you do afterwards. Meaning, when it is safe...(that is very important) do you leave with your children or just yourself if you have no kids, or do you stay to endure another day of the chaos and violence? Do you stay another day to hear the verbal abuse and feel the emotional abuse? Only you can get you out of the situation! Keep reaching out for help until you are out. Get the counseling! That is crucial as well. You don't want to repeat the relationship with someone else.

I want to stress that it is ok to love yourself!!!! It is not you that is wrong it is the abuser that is wrong. You have done nothing to deserve what has happened. No one should ever hit you!!!! No one should ever hit children!!!!

These are only my opinions and thought brought on by my personal experiences in life. You can take it or leave it. A wonderful person and friend once told me years ago...."Tracie, I can give you all my opinions and advise that I have in this world and it is still up to you whether you take them or not". She also said that "sometimes the hardest and scariest decisions in life are the most healthiest ones for all involved", to me that goes expecially for those of you with children.

As I have said, these are only my words, my thoughts, my experiences. From my mouth to your ears. For you to take as you like. I hope you find piece and happiness and safteyness with your future!!!!!
